We planted seed bombs and learned how to make them. We got to throw them onto the ground. They have hard shells so they can be protected from animals. -Caroline

The second grade made their First Eucharist a few weeks ago. First Eucharist is a special time in your life that only happens once. I eflt very happy and a lot of my family member came. We went to lunch at Epolitos.  -Cooper

The thing I like about grandparents is they are always kind. Last Grandparents Day they got me a treat. I think grandparents are awesome!

2A made Mr. Gallon man. He showed us how many quarts are in a gallon. He showed us how many pints are in a quart and he showed us how many cups are in a pint. - Jacob

Every Wednesday during Lent we go to the church to do Stations of the Cross. That is when someone holds the cross and the teacher reads each station from a booklet. After that we go back to the 2A classroom. -Maeve

Doing our President's report was fun! We got to write about them and draw a picture of them. The President I wrote about was John Quincy Adams.

On the 22nd of Feburary we met with are Kindergarten buddies! We made little cards and we put together a laisee packet for our buddy. Inside we put stickers, erasers, and swedish fish. - Erin
 
Dear Students and Parents of 2A, St. Jude's Future City group came into the classroom! They even brought the city they made! -Riley

We helped Stop Hunger Now! We put food in bags. We put them in boxes and loaded them into trucks. -Carson

With the St. Francis Garden Club we go to pick up the leaves. You got to turn the handle of the compost pile. -Patrick

 
2A recieved the Elijah Cup at the Advent Mass. The Elijah Cup is a cup that stands for Elijah. It is a symbol for us to pray for vocations.- Pierce

In Math, we played Basketball Addition. We split into teams. Team 1 won the first round and Team 2 won the second round. One team would roll the dice and the other team would check their score. -Caroline

Guess what? In Language Arts, we chose poems and I chose a poem titled, I Bought A Worm. We all worked very hard and read them to the class. -Claire

In Social Studies, we are studying Mexico and learning about maps. The Capital of Mexico is Mexico City. Mexico has a lot of mountains! -Spencer
 
In Language Arts, we are learning how to write friendly letters. The class has chosen to write to the Seminarians. I wrote to Mr. Ortega and asked him, "How much do you have to work?"

In the Advent Mass, we are putting gifts on the Jesse tree. During Advent trivia, we are learning about the wreath. It is a wreath made of evergreen.

In Math, we are talking about symmetry. I know that it has to be the same on each side. Seasonal symmetry means it is the same on each side. We folded a tree and angel, then we colored one side and gave it to someone else to color the other side the same.

In Social Studies, we are learning about the flag of Mexico. The symbol on the Mexican flag is when the Aztecs found where they live. They saw an eagle there holding a snake.
 
I made a card for my buddy. It was about the story of The Good Shepherd and 100 sheep. -Patrick
During math stations I liked making a pyramid with straws. It was soo much fun and I would like to do it again! -Will F.
I wrote an animal fantasy story and my characters were a dog and a raccoon. -Claire
Our AR story this week was about a squirrel, raccoon, field mouse, and chipmunk. In the end the animals learned to work together to find nuts for the winter. -Caroline
